Summary for Hall-B
- Fixes for FT sensitivity in OFF configurations
- Fixes for RGE run-based workflow
- Portal improvements: priorities and estimates for job completions
- Addressed pelican bug (half transferred files)
- Updated DDVCS geometry/gcards for high luminosity proposal
GEMC
- Main Branch:
- RGE FT was in the OFF configuration, but still active. Made calorimeter and hodoscope components passive across the FT-OFF periods, verifying all geometries.
- User Uditha confirmed vertex improvements due to the solid target implemented in clas12-config under ‘runs’
- Merged Raffaella’a modifications for DDVCS
- Meson branch (synced with main):
- Meson build system presented the software meeting
- Incorporated feedback to not install subprojects; opt-in via dedicated options. This needs a CCDB patch (implemented locally)
- HIPO tests opt-in via dedicated options, by default only CLAS12 tests are done.
- Fixed a broken workflow by installing the required geometry in the experiments directory
- Improved static libraries build across the supported platforms, resolving linker-flag
on Linux and macOS.
- Added flexible magnetic field-map handling: an option to reuse an existing field-maps directory and a switch
to the magfield repo that fails clearly on unresolved assets. This needs magfield MR approved.
- Propagated the FT-off sensitivity change and all other changes to the meson branch.
OSG
- Uograded the portal’s total and per user completion-time estimates
- Corrected edge cases for users with and without active submissions.
- Steady at ~11K concurrent jobs with a notably lower hold rate than prior days. OSG staff reported pelican sites fixes
- Fixed stalled pelican uploads back to JLab so that timeouts are now errors rather than false success.
- Working on Technical note for the new OSG software and portal
- Offending user (dominating in August) contacted about phase space optimization. All their jobs are stopped / deleted.
Geant4
- Finalized registration, travel, and lodging arrangements for the Geant4 school.
- g4home link to new tutorial updated
- g4home links added: installation/examples.
- Installation: use of g4install.
GEMC3
- Fixed skipped deployments caused by shared concurrency, validated the workflow against test commits, and
updated the accompanying documentation.
- Testing multithreaded scaling
Homepage
- Built an automated end-of-week pipeline that condenses daily notes into a toned-down public weekly report,
published as a month-grouped directory index on a scheduled basis.
Other
- Improved the work-journal process by restoring entries as one-line summaries and clarifying the brevity
convention.
